Meet the The Founder

I’m Miller — founder of The Accountant’s Palette, a virtual CPA firm serving creative and service-based businesses.

My journey began traditionally: I earned my accounting degree from Auburn University in 2007, followed by an MBA from Auburn University Montgomery. I became a licensed CPA in 2010 and started my career with the State of Alabama’s retirement system.

After stepping away from full-time work for a few years to spend time at home with my two children, I returned to the workforce and joined a boutique accounting and finance firm. I quickly moved into a Controller role—supporting a variety of small businesses with their accounting and financial operations. Many of these were in creative and specialized service industries like marketing, film production, videography, podcasting, and event services. That’s where I discovered how much I love helping small businesses bring order to their numbers, simplify their systems, and grow with confidence.

In 2025, I knew it was time to create something of my own—something that blends deep professional expertise with a modern understanding of today’s entrepreneurs. That’s how The Accountant’s Palette came to life helping passionate business owners eliminate financial stress and make smarter, data-driven decisions—so they can focus on what they love most.
